Hurricane John made landfall on the evening of Monday, September 23, 2024 at 9:15 p.m., impacting southern Mexico as a category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale, as reported by the National Meteorological Service (SMN).
This meteorological phenomenon reached the Mexican Pacific coast near Marquelia, in the state of Guerrero, where maximum wind speeds of up to 195 kilometers per hour were recorded.
Local authorities have activated emergency plans to ensure the safety of residents in the affected areas. Shelters have been set up and evacuations have been carried out in the most vulnerable areas to minimize the risk of damage and loss of life.

It is estimated that on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 00.00 WIB it will become a category 3 hurricane. In addition, it is warned that it will land at 12.00 WIB on the same day, but will become a category 1 hurricane.
