Ciudad Juárez.- Today, the Alas y Raíces association, AC, held an “Academic Marathon” with the users present at the venue. The goal is to improve the abilities and skills of people with different abilities, said Vianally Ascencio, the associate teacher. He stated that they carry out this activity every month for children, teenagers and adults. The association's users include Down Syndrome, Turner Syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The marathon was developed in five stages related to activities such as spelling, mathematics, sign language, English and poetry, teachers said. “This is to encourage students, because disability does not limit anyone, that's why we expand ourselves into these five areas, so that they see that they can learn because they are very smart, and with this activity we also encourage them for their daily lives . ” he explained. The association is located at Río Candelaria Street, 1736, in the Río Bravo subdivision, in the Waterfil area.
