Juarenses thronged 'Cinema Under the Stars' in Central Park

Ciudad Juárez.- Hundreds of Juárez residents, mostly families with children, enjoyed the cool evening of Cinema Under the Stars in Central Park.

The film projected on the big screen was director Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, which was the winner of online voting against Frankenweenie and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The screening took place in the park's Open Air Auditorium, which has a capacity of more than a thousand people and was packed tonight.

The cool weather helped make this cloudy evening a pleasant stay in the park; some brought blankets to cover themselves.

Among those present was the Martínez Mena family, consisting of father, mother and their two children, aged 5 and 8 years.

Antonio, the father, said that this activity was very positive because it could unite families, produce healthy entertainment and reassure people that they are safe.

“He really liked this movie, I came with my family and we had fun in a healthy way and we lived with more families in safe hunger conditions.”

Cinema Under the Stars is one of the many activities that El Parque Central will carry out to create a space for coexistence for border communities.
