LEICESTER SIGNED TOTTENHAM midfielder Oliver Skipp on Monday in a deal reported to be worth £25m (€29m).
The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League club.
Leicester are back in the top flight after one season in the Championship and ironically their first match will be against Tottenham on Monday.
Skipp said the opportunity to work with Foxes manager Steve Cooper, who coached the midfielder at England U21 level, convinced him to move to the King Power Stadium.
“I feel like it's a good group of people and a good group of players. I feel like we have a team that can challenge every game,” Skipp said.
“You look at the squad and you see a lot of interesting players who have played in the Premier League and I'm really excited to see what this group can achieve.
“I'm known here too. I worked with Steve in the England team, so we definitely have a good relationship and I'm keen to move forward and show what I can do.”
Skipp joined Tottenham's academy at the age of six and made 106 appearances for the north London club.
Brighton have completed the signing of Leeds striker Georginio Rutter, the Premier League club have announced.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the Seagulls in a club-record move of £40million.
The France Under-21 international scored eight goals and provided 16 assists last season for Leeds, having joined from Hoffenheim in January last year.
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler said: “Giorginio is a player who can get fans out of their seats and he really showed what he can do in English football last season with Leeds, but I know about him from his time in Germany with Hoffenheim.
“Now we need to integrate him into the team. We are looking forward to working with him.”
Rutter became Brighton's seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
He came through Rennes' youth ranks before breaking into the first team in 2020 and then moving to Hoffenheim the following year.
He was relegated from the Premier League with Leeds in 2023 but impressed for the club in the Championship last season.
Brighton technical director David Weir said: “Giorginio is a player we have been monitoring for some time.
“He is a strong technical player and we are delighted to welcome him to the club. We look forward to him continuing to develop with us.”
