A 50-year-old man was arrested this Tuesday (24), for failing to comply with protection measures against his 40-year-old ex-partner. The arrest was made in the Paulo Corrêa neighborhood, in Parintins, in the interior of Amazonas.
According to delegate Marna de Miranda, head of the police unit, the woman requested the protection measure in May this year, when she separated from the man.
He did not accept the end of the relationship and, on the day of the crime, he went to her residence and violated the protection measures.
“On September 11, the victim went to the police station and reported that the perpetrator had invaded her home and had insulted her several times. Before leaving the scene, the perpetrator also threatened to kill her and attacked her by pushing and kicking her in the legs,” the delegation explained.
According to the delegation, after collecting information, he was represented by a warrant for the perpetrator's arrest and the court order was executed at his residence.
The person will be responsible for non-compliance with the protective measures and will be under the responsibility of the Court.
