Marbella's Alternative Culture Fair «Euro Weekly News

The Manga, video games, comics and alternative culture fair 'Marbecon' will take place on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June at the Palacio de Congresos Center and will double in size with more than 80 activities for all target groups.

Marbella's Councilor for Youth, Alejandro Gónzález, launched the event together with the director of the organizing company, Go to eventsAntonio Camacho, and said that “the young people of the community can enjoy a different kind of free time all weekend.”

He also explained that this year “there will be an exhibition of old video games where fans can see pieces dating back to the 1970s and collectible consoles, including the first Japanese Nintendo.”

The fair is open on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Camacho said: “The forecasts for this year are very positive and we believe we can go from 2,000 people in 2023 to more than 5,000.”

One of the activities will be a Kpop dance competition, which already has more than 40 registered participants; a cosplay catwalk; an Arcade area, with more than 5,000 games, and the 'Arena of Champions', with more physical activities such as soft combat, target shooting or Nerf soft archery.

Admission is €4, but more than 2,000 flyers will be distributed around the city giving you access to the show on Sunday during the day at a price of 2 for 1.
