Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park “not sure” whether the band will make new recordings of old songs featuring the late Chester Bennington.
This happens after the group announced their return during a live broadcast Last Thursday (September 5) marked the debut of former Dead Sara member Emily Armstrong as the band's new vocalist.
The announcement came after weeks of anticipation, sparked by a mysterious countdown the band gave fans. Their surprise return included a new track called “The Emptiness Machine” alongside some Linkin Park classics. They also unveiled a new album called “From Zero” and provided World tour information.
Armstrong joins the lineup replacing late vocalist Chester Bennington. who died in 2017. Fans wonder if Armstrong's arrival will affect the band's older material. One man asked online “Will we have new recordings of some of the old songs?” to which Mike Shinoda replied that he was “not sure.”

At first, the reaction of both fans and fellow artists was Armstrong's Arrival was largely positive, but controversy soon erupted when it emerged that the singer apparently had ties to Scientology and had been convicted of rapism. I realized shortly after that I shouldn't have done that,” she wrote.
“I always try to see the good in people, and I underestimated him. I haven't spoken to him since. Unbelievable details came to light and he was later found guilty. I want to be as clear as I can: I do not condone abuse or violence against women and I sympathize with the victims of these crimes.”

Jamie Bennington, the late frontman's son, has now taken to social media to express his thoughts on the band's reunion with Armstrong and has accused Shinoda of “betrayal” of Linkin Park fans by this decision.
