New iPhone 16 range it may happen soon and September 9th is the date Apple fans should check their diaries. The US tech giant has just sent out invites for a major launch event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California, and a major update to the company's popular smartphone is almost certainly going to be the hottest news of the jam-packed set.
“It's Glowtime,” the post reads, alongside an image of a colourful Apple logo. Rumours that the new devices are on the way have been swirling for weeks, and now we have full confirmation, including a 6pm BST start time.
This year, Apple is bucking the trend by launching its new devices on Monday—in previous years, updates have almost always arrived at the end of the week.
Of course, Apple always keeps its cards close to its chest, so we won't know exactly what's new until launch day.
However, we expect the iPhone 16 series to be much faster, have brighter screens, a refreshed design, and longer battery life. Camera updates will undoubtedly be included, along with a possible update to the popular action button, which could add more gestures to this useful iPhone Pro feature.

It may also include faster refueling and access to Apple Intelligence, which was announced earlier this year.
Apple confirmed this new AI software back in June, and it brings an updated Siri with the ability to pull data from all your apps so you can ask more detailed questions and get accurate answers. For example, ask your iPhone what time you need to pick someone up from the airport, and your iPhone will scan your emails, text messages, and other data — privately — to find the right answer, including scanning current flight times to account for delays.
Of course, this event won't just be about the iPhone. We're also expecting a range of other devices to be unveiled, including new AirPods, Apple Watch updates, and improved Homepods.
It's sure to be an exciting evening and Express.co.uk will be bringing you all the latest news live, so stay tuned.
