CBS Sports' new NFL scoring system may have, pardon the expression, a few bugs that need to be worked out.
New ScoreBug debuted during Super Bowl LVIII and received mixed reviews, with some viewers liking the film and others disliking it.
But in Sunday's Denver Broncos-Arizona Cardinals game, that passion for points was on display again, and the reviews became more negative.
CBS is returning with the scoring feature that debuted in February during Super Bowl LVIII.

Fans often react when a channel changes a scoring error. ESPN Reveals New Scoring Bug for its coverage of college football in 2024, receiving generally positive reviews.
Some fans may be surprised that others would care so much about rating bugs. For many, they are nothing more than background noise, barely noticeable. Others, however, dissect a rating bug with the eye of a graphic designer.
The most specific complaints about the new CBS bug concerned font choice.
The font looks amateurish.

To be fair, some viewers praised the new look.
New scoring bug for CBS. This one will be hated because it's worse than the last one, but it's not terrible. It has team locations, logos, and colors. Time, play blocking, quarters, and timeouts are also clearly marked. Even ball possession is visible. 8/10 pic.twitter.com/2lLQcefse2

Perfect. What could be the problem? Clean, clear, simple and easy to read.

Perhaps CBS could tweak the font a bit. Or leave it as is. As we've seen with past complaints about new score errors, fans quickly get used to the new look.
