Israel has not admitted to being behind the explosions of Hezbollah pagers and walkie talkies in Lebanon, but it has made good on its threat to start a new phase of the war by bombing the country's south. An attack that is now, in terms of deaths, injuries and displacement, the worst suffered by the Lebanese people since 1990.
