With the introduction of new IMSS Hospital Bienestar Vícam Switchas part of Yaqui Justice Planwhose investment amounted to 503 million pesos, guaranteeing proper health care for eight Yaqui towns and the population of the southern region Sonora.
Governor Alfonso Durazo He highlighted that this health center meets the historical demand of the Yaqui community, by giving them access to free medical care in the cities of Guaymas, Bácum, San Ignacio Río Muerto and Cajeme.
“When can we imagine that members of an ethnic group will have a hospital as big as the hospital that started operating today, practically at their doorstep,” he explained.
In the hospital they provide service emergency unit, specialty areas of family medicine, internal medicine, preventive medicine, traditional medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology.
Besides, there is attention nutrition individuals and families, psychology, oral health, epidemiology and vaccination.
Vícam Switch Hospital consists of 30 census beds, in addition, 56 doctors will provide continuous care from Monday to Sunday.
