After a five-week trial, a jury found Lynn, a former airline pilot, guilty of murdering Clay earlier this year in connection with a missing tourists case.

After seven days of deliberations, the jury rejected Lynn's claims that Clay, 73, died accidentally at a remote campsite in eastern Victoria. Lynn was found not guilty of murdering Russell Hill, 74.

In court today, Lynn watched as Clay's sister, Gillian Walker, read out a crime impact statement via video link shown on a big screen.

Although he glanced briefly at the roof of the courtroom, most of the time his gaze was glued to the screen.
