The municipal swimming pool in Calpe reopened on May 5, welcoming visitors to start their summer season with free swimming facilities.
The swimming pool was closed in December due to the termination of the contract with the concessionaire and has now finally been brought back, open from 8am to 2pm, with lifeguard and administration service.
The pool service includes swimming coursesaquagym and midwifery among other activities, which will be available in the coming months.
The local Consistory is now free and will discuss the potential public prizes with the pool management in June.
The councilor for Sport and Contracting, Ximo Perles, stated: “We would like to apologize for the delay. We would have liked to open the municipal swimming pool facilities earlier and be able to offer all services, but we believe that it is preferable to open it already at this preparatory stage. phase while resolving the administrative procedures to offer a complete project with all activities. “It is our wish to be able to fully reopen the pool as soon as possible.”
