For the 37th time in history, the annual international Rugby Seven a Side tournament will be held at the Villajoyosa Rugby Stadium from May 25 to 26.
With 20 teams of national and invited athletes, ambitious athletes compete for the prize of money and status. The total prize of €5,000 from the international elite championship provides €2,000 for men and women and €500 for the runners-up.
The Tournament has now confirmed which teams will participate in the Seven a Side 2024.
The 12 confirmed men's teams include players All stars Sevens (South Africa), Lithuania national team, Bulgaria national team, Sweden national team, Viator Barbarians (Spain), Alcatraz 7S (Venezuela), Beltway Elite (USA), Georgia national team, Welsh Wizards, Croatia national team, Chili Boys (Chile) and Belgian Barbarians.
The women's teams are the Poland National Team, Sweden National Team, Bulgaria National Team, Costa Blanca La Vila, China National Team, Olympic Kazakhstan, Shanghai Women (China) and Moldovan national team.
The event is supported by Generalitat Valenciana, Villajoyosa City Council, Diputacion Alicante and Patronato Turismo Costa Blanca, sponsored by Viator.
Ground facilities include bars, live DJs, food stalls, catering industry area, to souvenir shop and free parking.
On May 25, 10:30 am–8 p.m. and May 26, 10:30 am–19:00.
