Samsung is working on the Galaxy S25 series, and today we learned another important feature of the new phones – their thickness. According to insider Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 will be 7.2 mm thick, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra – 8.2 mm.
The S25 (and likely the S25+) camera lenses will protrude just 1.8mm from the body, while the S25 Ultra will be 2.4mm thick. By comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 4.3mm gap from the top of the lens to the edge of the frame.

The 7.2mm-thick body will make the Galaxy S25 the thinnest Galaxy S flagship in a decade; the last time a phone this thin was the Galaxy S6, which launched in April 2015. The Ultra's 8.2mm-thick body is also a major milestone for the series, even if it only arrived in February 2020.
We expect the Galaxy S25+ to also have a 7.2mm thick body, which is in line with the similar thickness of the vanilla and Plus versions over the past five years.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 series in January, with rumors suggesting the Ultra will retain the same main and telephoto cameras as its predecessor, and update ultra wide shooter only.
The phone will probably be there too the only device the line will exclusively use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, but this could change as we have heard similar rumors last year about the S24 series.
