SEAMUS POWER SECURED a top-10 finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championships in Memphis.

The Waterford native shot three under par in the final round to finish at 10 under par with Billy Horschel and Will Zalatoris.

Two birdies on the front nine and two on the back nine were all but bogeyed on the par-three 14th inning for Power.

Also at the top of the leaderboard were three players who were leading at 15 under par: Viktor Hovland, Hideki Matsuyama and Xander Schauffele were all battling for the win with just a few holes remaining.

From a dramatic nine-point deficit, Matsuyama eventually pulled away from the group to take the win after initially being the clear leader when Schauffele surged ahead from nine points behind early in the day.

Meanwhile, Shane Lowry tied for 50th on par at one under par, while Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth finished on par at nine under par.

Elsewhere, Leona Maguire finished 61st, taking nine points to win the Scottish Open.

American Lauren Coughlin won convincingly, falling behind her opponent by 15 points, and ahead of her closest rival Esther Henseleit of Germany by four points.

For Maguire, back-to-back rounds of 75 on Friday and Saturday followed an opening round of 73 on Thursday.

She finished with a 74 after bogeys in the second and 13th sets, and a double in the 11th set.

A pair of birdies on two par-5s, the 5th and 14th, eased the damage a bit.

Maguire was crowned the week's hottest Irish performer, while Stephanie Meadow and Lauren Walsh failed to make the cut.
