A 36-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday (18), for raping his two stepchildren aged 5 and 8 years. The arrest took place in the Ribeirinho neighborhood, in the municipality of Beruri, in the interior of Amazonas.

According to delegate Rosane Ferreira, from the 80th DIP, the police team was called by the city's Guardian Council, because the 5-year-old male victim was hospitalized complaining of pain in his private parts.
“The child showed signs of trauma and refused to allow her family to clean her private parts or be examined by a doctor. Her 8-year-old sister reported that the reason for her refusal was because she and she had been sexually abused by her stepfather,” the delegation said.
According to the delegation, the brothers underwent special examination and, in their testimony, reported that they did not know how long the abuse had been going on. They said the rapes happened regularly, when they were alone with the perpetrator, until his mother left the house.
“They also reported that, on one occasion, one of them witnessed the other being abused. The victims were subjected to a medical examination and in the 8-year-old girl traces of libidinous acts were found,” concluded the delegation.
In view of this, this was represented by the preventive arrest of the perpetrator and, after being approved by the Court, he was arrested in the Ribeirinho neighborhood, in Beruri.
The man will be held responsible for the rape of a vulnerable person, coupled with the condition of being a stepfather and each of them carrying out ongoing criminal activities. He is now in the hands of the Court.
