A 36-year-old man and a 58-year-old man, suspected of involvement in the murder, in the municipality of Apuí, in the interior of Amazonas, were arrested on Friday evening (11).
The police team received information from the public that the suspect had fled towards Humaitá via BR-230. In response, military police set up barriers on the highway, near kilometer 58, where an approach was made to locate the fugitives.
Not long after, two men riding a motorbike were intercepted. During the search, a .38 caliber revolver was found in the waist of one of the suspects. When questioned, the men reported that they lived about two kilometers away, and that there were other firearms on the property.
Arriving at the scene, the police confiscated a 16-gauge shotgun with five cartridges, a 20-gauge shotgun with six cartridges, and a 32-gauge shotgun with one cartridge, all of which were still intact.
The two suspects and the confiscated weapons and ammunition were taken to the 71st Interactive Police Station (DIP).
