The former vice-president of the board criticizes the PP for “the most notorious political hunt in democratic Spain” with the ERE case

The former vice-president and former adviser to the Andalusian presidency Gaspar Zarrías has assessed with “great satisfaction” that the truth has been “imposed” by the Constitutional Court (TC) in relation to the case of the work regulations files (ERE) for which, according to has regretted, he was convicted “innocently” and after a “great setup” that, in his opinion, had been created by the PP. “We limited ourselves to complying with the law that the Parliament of Andalusia had approved”, and what there was was “a great setup by the Popular Party to launch the most notorious political hunt known in democratic Spain”, he added vice-president of the board.

The former Andalusian socialist leader, in statements by the PSOE-A, following the decision of the plenary session of the TC, adopted with seven votes in favor and four against, thus expressing himself on to acquit him of part of the fraud for which he was sentenced to nine years' disqualification.

After learning of this decision of the Full Court of Guarantees, Gaspar Zarrías said he felt “great satisfaction”, noting that “the truth has triumphed”, that “there was no plot to do anything wrong or illegal”. He concluded by regretting that former high-ranking officials of the socialist government had been convicted in this case “because they were innocent and had violated our fundamental rights to the presumption of innocence and criminal legality”.
