The almost abandoned village of Colonia de Santa Eulalia on the Costa Blanca, with its libertine and tragic past, is known for its ghostly apparitions and paranormal phenomena that have left an eerie mark on the area.
The Viscountess of Alzira began a romantic relationship with her husband's business partner, Count Antonio, where alcohol, gambling and sex mixed in a dark love triangle that ended with the Count's death.
Rumor has it that after a long night of debauchery in which he lost his entire fortune gambling, the Count was found drowned in the fountain on the veranda of his palace.
The count's death remains shrouded in mystery.
Those who have been there say that when the colony is visited by a woman who resembles the Viscountess, the ghostly figure of the Count appears.
His performances can be seen in front of his palace and theater, where unfortunately few traces of his greatness remain today.
It is said that the palace, built on an ancient Muslim cemetery, hides darkness oppressive secrets.
