The latest developments surrounding Musiala should reassure Bayern fans for now

Jamal Musiala's future is currently one of the hottest topics at FC Bayern. Although initial discussions over a contract extension have already taken place, the DFB star is said to be demanding a large pay rise. Now an insider has revealed a new development in the contract poker.

Musala is currently said to be leaning towards a contract extension with Bayern

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, intensive negotiations are underway between Musiala and FC Bayern to extend his contract ahead of schedule, which runs until 2026. The long-term collaboration is planned until the 2029/30 season. As further reported by Konur, Musiala is currently leaning towards extending his contract with FC Bayern.

However, if negotiations fail, Musiala could also consider a future in the Premier League. Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool FC have all expressed interest.

Difficult negotiations will occur

Although Musiala is generally willing, negotiations may still be difficult. British media reported that the international rejected FC Bayern's first contract offer due to financial differences. Musiala would therefore demand an annual salary of 18.5 million euros – a significant increase compared to the current eight million euros. FC Bayern are willing to negotiate, but the salary demands are crucial.

Sporting director Max Eberl remains relaxed and recently stated: “We will take it calmly.” The club wants to continue discussions and is optimistic that an agreement will be reached. “He knows what he has at FC Bayern. But we also know what we have in Jamal,” Eberl stressed. Musiala will become one of the “faces of FC Bayern” and the club seems on track to keep the Germany international in Munich for the long term.
