The Federal Police in Amazonas confiscated, this Monday (30), about R$ 798,750.00 in cash in bags and cardboard boxes on a chartered plane, which departed from the Aeroclube do Amazonas, in Manaus, towards the municipality of Jutaí (630 kilometers from Manaus).

The person in charge of the plane that would transport the money was brought to the PF to testify. The money was sent to the PF Regional Supervisor, who opened an investigation into the origin of the amount.

The confiscation occurred due to intensive checks ordered by the PF's general director, delegate Andrei Rodrigues, and will be carried out until the second round of elections across the country.

In Amazonas, agents carried out systematic inspections at Eduardo Gomes International Airport, at the Aeroclube do Amazonas and also at the port of Manaus to eradicate election crimes in the state.
