The Topos Azteca rescue brigade joined the search on Wednesday in the La Encantada creek, where they continue to search for a person missing since last Sunday.
The team of six volunteers is to support the efforts of local authorities and disaster management agencies, who stepped up the search for a third missing person after the discovery of two bodies.
The municipality of the city of Ramos Arizpe requested the support of the “moles”, who work together with brigade members of various police and civil defense companies. The rescuers include four volunteers from the Laguna region and two from the Tupy company, who already worked in a similar action in the same town in 2020.

This Tuesday, two of the three men who were swept away by the torrent last Sunday in the town of Ramos Arizpe were found.
Rodolfo Martínez Villarreal, coordinator of the Topos Azteca brigade, pointed out that previous experience in the field is a significant advantage for them. “We know the terrain well, which allows us to focus our activities on key areas such as islets with high tree density,” he explained.
Since the early hours of the morning, search teams have been searching the area from the Zertuche ejido, while helicopters from the Coahuila Secretariat of Public Security are expected to resume overflights to support locating efforts.
Francisco Sánchez Aguirre, director of civil protection, indicated that the goal is to find the missing person as soon as possible, with the close cooperation of the forces involved.
