He trial of Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada continues in the United States, although this time with a slight last-minute change of plans. This Tuesday, the US Attorney's Office requested changed the next trial for the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel to implement October 17a day after the same judge in the case, Brian Cogan, sentenced the former Secretary of Public Safety, Genaro Garcia Luna.
The request was made through a document, which has been disseminated on the network, in which the Prosecutor's Office requests to advance the further trial of 'El Mayo', arguing that there is a conflict with the date previously set. Defense attorneys for the boss, accused of crimes related to drug trafficking, accepted the modification.
“The government agreed with your esteemed defense attorney and court manager regarding an appropriate date, and everyone can appear on October 17, 2024 at 2:15 p.m.,” the Prosecutor's Office wrote in the letter.
