New Delhi:
Rakul Preet Singh appealed the issue of facing nepotism in Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast. She admitted that she lost the Starkids films but did not let it affect her judgment. Rakul also opined that nepotism cannot be denied as it exists in every industry. In a conversation with Ranveer AllahbadiaRakul said, “Yes, it is a reality that I have had films snatched away from me, but I am not a person who will get angry. Maybe these projects were not meant for me. I move on. I feel bad for a day and then snap out of it.”
Rakul also said that she will help her children gain a foothold in the industry if they want to. “Tomorrow, if my children need help, of course, I will help them and will not impose on them the same struggle that I had to go through. Similarly, if star kids get easy access, it is because their parents have worked hard. So nepotism is not something that I think about too much,” Rakul said.
Rakul believes, Nepotism exists in every industry. “Opportunities can be taken away from you in any other industry, like medicine… and I think that's life, and the sooner you realize that, the better for your progress,” she said on the show.
In the same conversation, Rakul expressed her gratitude to the Telugu industry for making her dream of becoming an actress come true. Rakul said, “You know, I don’t know what to say, I think the amount of love that Telugu audiences have given me and because of them, I could realise my dream of becoming an actress. So, thank you very much for that. And other than that, I have no words.” Rakul Preet has acted in many Telugu films like Venkatadri Express, Loukyam, Pandaga Chesko, Kick 2, Sarrainodu, Dhruva and Spyder. She started her career with the 2009 Kannada film Gill.
