Lourdes PinaYouth council member, together with Julian Roderorepresentative of Eventos Go!, has been in charge of presenting this new edition. “This Saturday, August 3, from five in the afternoon until twelve at night, the San Francisco Market will be filled with activities, with everything from soft combat games to soft archery, all in a festive and supportive atmosphere,” he explained.
An event with a heart: helping Infancia Solidaria
The collaboration between the Vélez-Málaga City Council and Eventos Go! is not new. On this occasion, they have once again joined forces to support Infancia Solidaria, an NGO that works to improve the lives of children suffering from serious illnesses. “It is an opportunity to enjoy ourselves and at the same time collaborate with a cause that changes lives,” says Rodero. The foundation is responsible for bringing children from other countries to Spain for medical treatment, so that they can then return home and lead a normal life.
The event is not only meant to entertain, but also aims to raise awareness about the importance of solidarity. With free activities open to all audiences, the market offers a variety of options so that all visitors can find something interesting. In addition, a 'zero line' will be set up for those who want to make direct donations to the NGO.
Open invitation to all neighbors and visitorsPiña encourages the community to participate in this unique day: “We hope the community comes together, has fun and contributes to this noble cause.” With the success of last year, where more than a thousand people attended, this year's event promises to be just as successful and meaningful.
In short, the Friki Solidario market is not only a celebration of culture nerdbut also an opportunity to contribute to essential social work. With the support of the community and the collaboration of entities such as Eventos Go!, Vélez-Málaga is once again shown as an example of solidarity and social commitment.
