Video | Israeli soldiers throw Palestinian bodies from rooftops: dehumanization in war | International

Picture of some Israeli soldiers throwing from the roof of a house bodies of three Palestinians in the West Bank has raised eyebrows in the international community. But it is not the only example of brutality taking place in Gaza: from soldiers urinating in destroyed houses to soldiers taking 'selfies' on the battlefield, in recent months the network has been filled with shocking images of coldness. These attitudes are symptomatic of one of the most dangerous war strategies in history: the dehumanization of the enemy. In this video that made headlines, psychologist Rocío Martínez explains what she means inhuman. Alberto Fernández Liria, a psychiatrist specializing in armed conflicts, explains the relevance of this phenomenon to the mentality of the combatants and Daniel Feierstein, principal researcher at CONICET and expert in genocide studies, analyzes the similarities between today's societies and those that marked the period before the great exterminations in history.

Knowing what is happening outside means understanding what will happen inside, so that nothing is missed.
