Brothers Lyle and Erik Menéndez, who seemed like a pair of young people with a privileged Beverly Hills life, became controversial figures after the murder of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez.
While in prison, Lyle and Erik never had any contact until 2018, when they met for the first time in more than 20 years, allowing them to rebuild their relationships, as well as taking an active role during the isolation period.
Erick, who is currently facing a life sentence, has since married. 1999 with Tammi Ruth Saccoman. Both seek to make their stories visible, arguing that for them, the story is about more than just the crime and lies in the suffering they experienced as children.

Despite having spent around two decades in prison, the controversy resurfaced after the premiere of the series titled “Monster” on Netflixdirected by Ryan Murphy.
The series has received a variety of criticisms, including that expressed by Erik dissatisfaction. His brother stressed that the production distorted his life and perpetuated lies about his history.
According to his statement, the plot focuses on the crime, not exploring his years. to harass which led them to that tragic decision.
