Workers reach agreement with Boeing company; agreed to raise salaries

WASHINGTON. – After more than a month since the strike started in the company aircraft manufacturerunion representing more than 30 thousand employees announced that a tentative agreement had been reached to raise wages and improve working conditions.

According to the newspaper Washington Posttoday a tentative agreement was announced, which includes a 35% general salary increase, increased retirement benefits, and a $7,000 bonus.

News of the agreement comes a week after talks between Boeing and the International Association of Machinists and the Aerospace Workers union broke down.

Bank of America estimates that the strike will cost Boeing about $50 million a day, adding to the crisis of confidence the company is suffering following incidents involving the 737 Max model and changes at the multinational's top brass.
