The Xiaomi 15 Ultra May Appear Earlier than its predecessors and is rumored to contain significant improvements over the 14 Ultra: 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
Today, a new report “confirms” that information as much as any unverified rumor can. The new camera will support a 10x zoom option in the viewfinder, and that level of magnification will be achieved through a combination of optical zoom and in-sensor zoom.
Xiaomi may or may not advertise this as “lossless,” and we're not here to debate the accuracy of that term. We'd rather just be happy with the quality of the upscaled shots we'll be able to get from Xiaomi's next Ultra.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
The 200MP periscope telephoto lens was unveiled back in May vivo X100 Ultraand now it looks like Xiaomi liked this innovation so much that the company is ready to follow suit.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. According to current rumors, its main camera will use an updated version of the Sony LYT-900 sensor, and this will provide better low-light performance compared to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
There will also be 4K Cinematic video mode, higher resolution slow-motion video, and an improved selfie camera – apparently with a 50MP resolution.
