Jung Gravy posted screenshots on his social media pages, denying that he had asked the Hawk Tua girl out on a date.
The 'Hawk Tua' Girl Becomes Viral Sensation on social media earlier this summer, after a video of a street interview spawned a slew of memes, edits and desperate attempts to identify the girl in the clip.
Now it's been revealed that it's Hailey Welch, and the spotlight on the Tennessee resident shows no sign of slowing down as she's set to file multiple trademark applications to launch various businesses under the name “Hawk Tuah,” including mouthwash, sunflower seeds, barbecue sauce, and more (via TMZ).
What's more, she has been open about the number of famous faces who have reached out to her since the clip went viral, with the latest being Yung Gravy.
Talking to TMZ Welch recently told a reporter outside a New York hotel that the artist had contacted her and asked her out. She also said she had turned him down, telling the publication, “I said, 'No, I don't know about that.'

However, Yung Gravy has since taken to social media to clarify his claims and deny ever asking her out on a date.
This morning (August 20), the rapper posted a screenshot of their private Instagram conversation on X/Twitter, in which Welch texts him, “Hello sir,” before congratulating her on her success and inviting her to one of his shows.
“Damn I just looked at your page you are seriously doing this shit lol congrats,” the messages read. “When I came to find your page I just wanted to give you credit for being a certified champion.
“Oh, and this isn't me trying to be sneaky because I don't know how you're doing, but I'd like to invite you to my show next month to listen to my country shit.”
He shared a screenshot with the caption: “Can't be cute anymore lol.”

Welch has not yet responded to Yung Gravy's post.
Elsewhere, an interview with TMZWelch said she has several other business plans for her Hawk Tuah brand, with her lawyer telling the publication, “First, we're going to protect her image at all costs, and that's a full-time job in itself. We have a lot of plans for a lot of different things.”
Shortly after the original video went viral, Welch was apparently involved in an official merch line created as a result of the meme. Early last month, the “Hawk Tua” girl reportedly sold at least $65,000 (£51,432) worth of merchandise.
