Rightmove, a portal which concentrates 86% of the online real estate market in the United Kingdom, rejects the offer of 5.6 billion pounds (6.6 billion euros) made by its rival REA, an Australian group 61% owned by the Murdoch family through Actualités Corp, publisher of The times And The Wall Street Journal.
The board of the listed UK company explained today that after a detailed reading, “The proposal is completely opportunistic and fundamentally underestimates Movement to the right and its future projection”, which is why it recommends that shareholders ignore it.
