Perelló promises the position of president of the Supreme Court and the General Council of the Judiciary
The new president of the Supreme Court and the General Council of the Judiciary, Isabel Perelló, promised to occupy a position above the Constitution and before King Felipe VI. Also present at the event, which lasted only a few minutes, were the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez; the Minister of Justice, Félix Bolaños; the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido; the President of Congress, Francina Armengol; and the President of the Senate, Pedro Rollán. Perelló is the first woman to preside over the CGPJ and the Supreme Court. The judge of the Third Chamber of the High Court, with a progressive profile, obtained 16 endorsements, compared to four received by her colleague Ana Ferrer.
