Gogglebox star welcomes new member to the family after huge milestone

It looks as though the Tapper family is about to get a little bit bigger after son Josh has asked his long-term girlfriend Hannah to marry him. His younger sister Amy took to social media to share the happy news with her followers.

Sharing a screenshot from a FaceTime call with the Gogglebox star and his new fiancee, the happy couple were beaming from ear to ear as Hannah showed off her ring. Amy captioned the image: “The phone call I’ve been waiting for and the best news in the world. My best friends are engaged. I officially have a sister.”

In another snap, his sister revealed Josh popped the question standing in a room which had been covered in red roses and petals with candles on either side lighting a path. There was also a series of printed-out images of them both throughout the years.

As Josh and his fiancee posed for a pic, it looked as though a light-up sign reading “Marry me” was at the end of the rose-lined path. Amy captioned the image: “Welcome to the family Han, couldn’t wish for anyone better.”

The Tapper family, which also includes mum Nikki and dad Jonathan, first made their debut on Gogglebox back in 2013.

It wasn’t long before they rose to fame and quickly became fan favourites of the show.

In 2017, Josh decided to leave the reality show to focus on his political career.

Recently, the former Channel 4 star announced he’ll be Labour’s candidate for Hertsmere in the next election.

A year after Josh’s exit, his sister Amy followed suit when it was revealed she was leaving to appear in another television show, Celebs Go Dating.

Due to Gogglebox participants being banned from appearing on other programmes, which has been claimed by Sandra Martin who used to be part of the show, the Tapper family bowed out in 2018.

Although they’re not the only people who have left in order to venture elsewhere over the years.

Scarlett Moffatt quit Gogglebox in 2016 before taking part in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, along with Stephen Lustig-Webb who recently left for Dancing on Ice.

Sadly, Stephen never made it to the live shows as the 52-year-old sustained an injury from training and was forced to bow out.

Although Amy Tapper didn’t find love in the dating show, she’s gone on to be a huge star on social media after documenting her huge weight loss.

She often shares videos of her working out at home and at the gym, inspiring her 77,000 Instagram followers.

In the past, it’s believed the former Gogglebox star lost a huge three stone in preparation for her 23rd birthday.

Gogglebox continues Fridays on Channel 4 from 9pm.
