Brainteasers are a great way to stimulate the mind and give the brain some much-needed exercise. There are three main types of brainteasers, they can be observational, analytical, and mathematical.
Mathematical brainteasers ask people to solve a maths-based question whilst analytical brainteasers require them to solve a riddle. Observational brainteasers, such as the one above, involve asking people to find anomalies in an image.
Created by Motorpoint, the image above features row after row of cars being washed. The aim of this brainteaser is to spot the pound sign on one of the cars as soon as possible.
The key to solving this brainteaser is carefully scanning the image from left to right and top to bottom as efficiently as possible to find the mysterious pound coin sign.
The brainteaser was created to mark the improvement in weather and the move from winter to spring in the UK. According to research by the motoring experts, drivers could save as much as £210 by washing their cars at home.
Speaking about the importance of car washing, Motorpoint’s cleaning expert Ben Custard said: “I’d recommended that motorists approach cleaning their car the same way they would with their home and block out time to keep it looking its best. While you can always outsource your car cleaning to professionals, I’d suggest trying to clean your car at home.
“It’s much cheaper to do it yourself, and you’ll have a better idea of the products being used and the steps taken to prevent damage to your vehicle. A good rule of thumb is to aim to clean the exterior of your car every two weeks.
“This can help keep on top of issues like wet leaves and bird poo that can result in costly damage if ignored. When it comes to your car interior, you should be looking to remove rubbish and wipe down surfaces as soon as possible.
“For bigger jobs like hoovering, I’d suggest once a month would be enough, unless there’s a reason your car interior gets particularly dirty.”
According to Motorpoint, it can take some people as long as a minute to solve this brainteaser and find the pound sign.
