Prince Harry is likely “very anxious” as his US residency hangs in the balance over a “witch hunt he invited” by revelations made in his tell-all memoir, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has been challenged on whether he might have lied on his US visa application after revealing in his memoir Spare that he had taken drugs in the past.
Under current US legislation, applicants for certain types of visa must disclose whether they have used drugs – and doing so can result in their request being denied.
Last year, Washington-based conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation lodged a request for the release of Harry’s application – and the papers have now been handed to Judge Carl Nichols.
If it is found Harry lied on the application, he faces the prospect of seeing his visa cancelled and his future in the US could be in the balance.
