Over the weekend, Bargain Hunt star Christina Trevanion shared a video on Instagram of her enjoying some time horse riding. Although it appeared that the BBC presenter was a little slower than the people she was with.
Sharing a short clip on her social media account, her followers saw Christina taking a slow ride on the back of a black and white horse. However, up ahead her followers could see three people going at a slightly quicker pace.
As they trotted away a lot faster than her, she seemed to admit defeat. She captioned the video: “I’ve given up trying to keep up….”
It wasn’t long before fans commented on the video as many found the leisurely stroll of the horse hilarious. Social media user @ann.scott.71653 said: “It looks like your horse is quite happy not to keep up too.”
@mrwilson29 joked: “My motto for life in general.” @thelinenladder commented: “…no rush…”
@Taffytopaz shared: “Gorgeous countryside Christina. I’ve been hoping for a glimpse of you riding Evie and here she is! A joy of Spring. Lovely to know you’re out and about doing one of the things you clearly and absolutely love.”
@Jamesphilipclarke wrote: “Always my problem – lack of horsepower.”
With @Harcoq adding: “You need a riding crop.”
Christina introduced her horse, called Evie, to her followers last year after admitting she missed riding.
The Bargain Hunter host confessed she never planned on getting another horse, following the death of her beloved one Barney which she described as a ‘once in a lifetime’ love.
Her horse sadly died in 2022 as she informed fans by writing a poignant tribute to him on social media at the time.
However, she welcomed the new addition to her family last year as she shared a snap of Evie overlooking the countryside. She wrote: “I have missed riding very much. By happy chance, this little lady has come into our lives.
“I’m a firm believer that animals chose you, and I feel very honoured to have been selected by her!”
It looks as though her love of horses and riding runs in the family as her daughter is following in her mum’s footsteps. Two years ago, the BBC star shared a glimpse of one of her children showjumping as she told her followers she was a “super proud mumma”.
Bargain Hunt is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
