'No plans for retirement' after latest concussion

For the fourth time in five years, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been diagnosed with a concussion. latest injury happened Thursday night during the Buffalo Bills' 31-10 loss when Tagovailoa tried to gain a first down with his feet, dove and collided with Bills safety DeMar Hamlin.

Since his latest concussion, calls for Tagovailoa to resign have become louder than ever, to the point that current NFL head coachLas Vegas Raiders' Antonio Pysk has said he should retire and that “it's not worth it.” However, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the player who gave the Dolphins a signal has no intention of going that route.

“Tua Tagovailoa and his doctors will make decisions about his game, his health, they will manage the process,” Rapoport said. “My understanding is that Tua Tagovailoa has no plans to retire, no plans to retire. In fact, he is already looking at getting back on the football field. As for when that will be, we just don’t know, every concussion is different, every player reacts differently to a concussion. Tagovailoa's history of concussions is well-documented, as he suffered one in college at Alabama and two during the 2022 campaign with the Dolphins.
