The LupoLeo Award from the United Kids Foundations supports projects for children and young people. This year the award will be given for the third time. You can vote in the “Real Heroes” category on FOCUS online. The winners receive 20,000 euros for their projects.
“For a healthy future for our children and our planet” – that's the motto of this year's LupoLeo Awards. The “Real Heroes” category honors volunteers who have made a significant contribution to a special project. You decide who gets the award! Ariane Flick creates waste-saving competition
Ariane Flick from the Federal Association of Production Schools launched the waste saver competition. This annual nationwide event challenges young people to develop innovative and valuable products from waste. Flick planned and organized the competition. It inspired young participants and showed that commitment to environmental protection is not only possible, but also fulfillable.

Giulianna Göb is committed to preventing violence
Giulianna Göb came to the FAIR.STÄRKEN club when she was six years old. She is now 15. She is open about her difficult childhood and uses her own story to encourage young people to stand up for their rights and for positive change. Giulianna is a key part of the #KölnSafe campaign to prevent violence and the driving force behind the project “Future for ALL!” Here she leads her own environmental projects and motivates other young people to do the same.

Ludwig Thiede organizes life teachers
Ludwig Thiede founded the organization “LifeTeachUs”. The project uses class cancellations to provide students with valuable insights into topics such as environmental protection, health and social responsibility through so-called LifeTeachers. Thiede has built a network of over 1,000 LifeTeachers who pass on their expertise on a voluntary basis. The concept is being implemented in many schools across Germany.

Ruth Hübner-Gerling organizes the “KidsCamp” excursion.
Ruth Hübner-Gerling is a volunteer at the InSL association. She organizes workshops and outings that teach children about environmental awareness and health “KidsCamp”. Under their guidance, a visit to a farm or a recycling center becomes an educational adventure. The children clearly learn where their food comes from and how waste is recycled correctly.

Vera Buschmann supports students in local public transportation
Vera Buschmann is an employee of Berlin's public transport company. Today, this place is the heart and soul of the Berlin Rally, a project of the Berlin Citizens Foundation. It introduces sixth graders to independence in public transport. The project has now become a valuable part of Berlin's educational landscape. The rally provides knowledge and allows students to rediscover their city and its surroundings.
