Death of another Romanian citizen confirmed after flooding in Spain; the number of victims reached two people and seven people were missing

A second Romanian citizen has been confirmed dead as a result of devastating floods that occurred last week in Spain's Valencia region, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today.

First death confirmed on Friday.

Last week, the agency reported that 16 Romanian citizens were declared missing after the floods, and yesterday the number was reduced to four people.

The latest Foreign Ministry figures to date report seven Romanians missing, after authorities self-reported and checked the situation of three others.

The Ministry noted that the Romanian Embassy in Madrid and the Consulate in Castellon de Plana continue to verify information about the missing Romanian citizens.
