A serious accident between a car and a motorbike on Rua Senador Bernardo Monteiro, in Benfica, in the North Zone of Rio, resulted in one person being killed and another injured, in the early hours of Wednesday (6).
Wallace do Nascimento Júnior, aged 44, succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene, while Wallace Barros, aged 36, was rescued in serious condition and taken to Souza Aguiar Hospital, in downtown Rio.
Benfica, Tijuca and Vila Isabel Barracks provided care to the victims. The cause of the accident is still being investigated by authorities.
