Grupo Globo announced the conclusion of an agreement to acquire the lost shares in Eletromidiaa national leader in “out-of-home” (OOH) media. The company is responsible for most of, for example, the TVs you see in shopping malls, lifts in shopping and health centers, and even street furniture.
Because of that, the group, which has owned more than 27% of the company since the beginning of last year, has become the majority, dominating the OOH media market in Brazilafter spending R$1.7 billion for an additional 47% of capital.
Globo, which now has a portfolio as a leader in the sector in which it operates, media and advertising, has also entered into a partnership with Eletromídia to distribute its own content on screens.
After the deal, Eletromidia's shares soaredclosed the day with an increase of more than 40%.
