A resident of Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes) who had not been found since last Sunday, reappeared this Tuesday, November 5. He told police he wanted to “go green”.
More fear than danger. Gérard Wallendorff, resident of Charleville-Mézières, missing since last Sunday, was found this Tuesday, November 5, Ardennes police told the daily Ardennes.
This 69 year old man has been a fugitive since leaving his house on Sunday 3 November without leaving a trace. Ardennes Police have appealed for witnesses to the worrying disappearance of an adult, as their mobile phone stopped working early in the evening.
“We spoke to him this morning on the phone and he assured us that he was fine but he wanted to go green,” the police explained to our colleagues.
An average of around 70,000 people go missing every year in France, according to data from the Assistance and Search for Missing Persons (ARPD) association.
Between this disappearancemost have been resolved, but about 10,000 remain unresolved and classified as “disturbing disappearances”.
