According to special vehicle Esports Charts, the final of the competition between T1 and Bilibili Gaming was the most watched match in history, with a peak of 6.94 million viewers, excluding Chinese viewers. The duel generated 25.3 million viewing hours.
The finalist teams finish the competition with the largest number of viewers. The T1 champions generated 59.4 million hours watched, the highest mark for a team in e-Sports.
Throughout its duration, the World Cup had an average audience of 1.73 million viewers, with 191 million hours watched. node YouTubethe tournament was attended by more than 3.39 million viewers, while Twitch reached 2.5 million.
The old record for the highest e-Sports audience belongs to the LoL World Cup. In 2023, the competition had a peak audience of 6.4 million.
The tournament's next chance to improve on the record set last weekend will be next year, when the World Cup will be played in the Chinese city of Chengdu.
