Polling stations closed this Tuesday (5) in the first states of the United States, including the decisive state of Georgia, due to the bitter electoral dispute between Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and former Republican President Donald Trump.
The other states are Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.

US television stations projected Trump as the winner in Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia, while Kamala would win in Vermont.
The United States faces a long night of waiting for the results of the presidential election, which could be known overnight or within days.
Kamala is seeking to become the first woman to occupy the White House, while Trump is seeking to return to the presidency after four years.
Polls for this vote are expected to close throughout the night, until the final vote is cast in Alaska.
