Serial robberies on several streets in Vila da Penha, a neighborhood in Rio's North Zone, in recent days have put the area on the violence list. The latest case occurred between Volta and Marco Polo roads.
Motorists passing through the area, this Tuesday (5), were approached by criminals who forced them to get out of their vehicles, searched them, and left them on foot. The criminal act was caught on security cameras.
Avenida Meriti and Rua Samoa, Antônio Storino and Galvani are other addresses where armed criminals have recently stolen mobile phones, cars and acted extremely violently.
The Vila da Penha neighborhood is also close to Avenida Pastor Martin Luther King Júnior, which records daily trawls.
