Ciudad Juárez—Ministry police arrested a couple in possession of two firearms and more than half a kilo of fentanyl yesterday.
They seized a 9-millimeter submachine gun and a .40-caliber handgun from the would-be felons, along with five bullets and two plastic baggies, one containing solid fentanyl and another containing pills of the same synthetic substance, the State Police warrant states. Research Agency (AEI).
The arrest occurred at Ramón Rayón and Miguel De la Madrid streets in the Puente Alto neighborhood, where investigative agents stopped the driver of a gray 2015 model Jeep Wrangler without a license plate.
Inside the vehicle were Ángel Alberto DC, 36, and Leslie Adilene RM, 26, who were carrying weapons and drugs in a backpack with a picture of a puma.
The couple and what was insured by AEI were placed in the Federal Public Ministry, in the Chihuahua delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic (FGR).
