Two people have been detained in the District Attorney's case – Pernik for extortion and causing damage to property, it was reported from there.

YV and AV This action was carried out at the direction of the District Prosecutor's Office – Pernik to investigate the pre-trial process of extortion for property gain.

After reviewing the materials of the case file received by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, the supervising prosecutor assesses that these materials contain sufficient data, which can serve as a basis for making reasonable assumptions about a crime committed.

On May 31 and November 5 this year, the two defendants involved – YV as the instigator, and AV as the perpetrator, forced II from the city of Radomir to hand over a sum of money to them. Through threats and against the victim's wishes, resulting in property damage amounting to 11,500 euros, added the District Prosecutor's Office – Pernik.

Based on a decision letter from the Pernik District Prosecutor's Office, the two defendants were detained for up to 72 hours. A request for a restraining order against them will be filed in court. The prosecutor's office also announced that the defendant JV had committed the crime of which he was accused, in a state of dangerous recidivism.
