Former Russian President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev suggestedthat the outcome of the US presidential election would benefit Russia's interests in a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Medvedev served as president from 2008 to 2012 and currently serves as deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council. Since the beginning the war in Ukraine encouraged anti-Western rhetoric, often threatening Kiev's allies with Moscow's nuclear potential.
