Jukka Kristo, former CEO of berry company Polarica, earned more than 280,000 euros last year. In late October, Kristo was sentenced to eight months' conditional imprisonment for aggravated bribery. In addition, Kristo was charged with 77 counts of serious human trafficking.

According to the court, Kristo financed the violin hobby of Olli Sorainen, a close relative of the Ministry of Labor and Economy, with the amount of several thousand so that Sorainen could advance Polarica's interests in the ministry.

Sorainen earned 41,000 euros last year. Sorainen was given a suspended one-year prison sentence and dismissed from office.
